Battery Safety

The Schwinn lithium polymer Power Pac is very safe when properly used and maintained. In order to ensure your safety please be sure to always follow the guidelines below.
  • Please always use the assigned charger to charge the Schwinn Power Pac battery. Using a different charger with the Schwinn battery could result in damage to the battery itself, and possible dangerous conditions.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or alter any part of the Schwinn Power Pac battery or battery charger.
  • Do not operate the Schwinn Power Pac battery outside the temperature range from 0°C to 40°C / 32°F — 104°F.
  • Do not store Schwinn Power Pac battery outside the temperature range from -20°C to 60°C / -4°F — 140°F to prevent damage. If the battery is stored in this temperature range for a prolonged period of time, the batteries life could be greatly shortened.
  • Do not contact the battery with water or other liquid. Warranty is invalid if water or any liquid gets into the Schwinn Power Pac battery. Disconnect the device immediately to avoid possible explosion or electrical shock.
  • Do not expose Schwinn Power Pac battery to direct flame or heat; or place it near to flame or heat, as the battery may explode.
  • Maintain good ventilation while charging.
  • Remove the Schwinn Power Pac battery pack from the charger after the batteries are fully charged.
  • Do not use the Schwinn Power Pac charger to charge other types of battery packs, including Ni-Cad or Ni-Mh.
